The Allotments_Act_1925 included the requirement that allotments must be part of every town planning scheme and, most importantly, that land purchased or appropriated for use as allotments must not be disposed of or used for other purposes without Ministerial consent. In other words, this Act defined a statutory allotment site, which was in contrast to a temporary site (that is, a site that does not require Ministerial consent for change of use or in order to be sold).
